Through her participation in research on the impacts of emigration from Oaxacan coffee communities, Jessa has developed close ties with the coffee villages visited by Eastwind Cycle’s Tour of the Coffee Lands. She has led education/adventure tours in Ecuador, and is thrilled to be leading tours in Oaxaca, a state of Mexico she has come to know well and and to love. A native of southern California, Jessa did not grow up an avid biker but rather an avid ocean-goer. However, she has recently gotten hooked on the activity. In her own words...“The people I have met in Oaxaca’s coffee villages are some of the most genuine, hospitable, and interesting individuals I have ever encountered. Combine that with the natural beauty that surrounds these villages and you have Oaxaca’s most attractive, yet unexplored, tourist attractions. I feel honored to have had the opportunity to spend time in these communities through my research, and I’m excited to guide others through the areas I consider to be Oaxaca’s best kept secret.” |
